Composition

The three thing I was given were a postman, a burger and a playground. I found working out the composition very hard (as I often do) - fitting all the things together. In the end I went for the postman in the centre (thinking it would be the focus.) In the end I think its a very rigid composition that doesn't really work. The is not enough of a play with line of sight and scale. The composition just presents the elements and doesn't make them interesting. I could tell it wasn't quite working when I did it but couldn't see another way. After the crit I was going to re-do it but it slipped down my priorities. By making a composition that didn't really work I think it made me think much more about composition than I otherwise would and since this task I think about it much more now when making work or looking at work.
